Stay Fit While You Travel With These 5 Crossfit WODs

These five workouts of the day (WODs) are perfect for when you're in need of a great workout that requires minimal time and equipment.

Crossfit workouts can be brutal.

They will test your strength and endurance while also giving you a massive gut check.

That's what makes them so effective.

They're a great way to keep your fitness at a high level when you're traveling.

On the road, you're away from your home gym and routine which can definitely throw you off your path to reaching your fitness goals.

These five workouts of the day (WODs) are perfect for when you're in need of a great workout that requires minimal time and equipment. They're known affectionately in Crossfit as "the girls" and they are nasty bodyweight workouts that will launch your metabolism into overdrive. We've also listed a challenge time or number of rounds to complete to give you an idea of what you should be trying to beat when you finish each workout.

What is Crossfit?

Crossfit is a fitness regimen that consists of constantly-varied functional movements performed at high intensity to improve strength and conditioning and building "complete fitness" in its participants.

Strength, mobility, conditioning, aerobic capacity and endurance are trained and tested through workouts of the day (WODs) with functional movements at higher intensity. The result is a human being in optimal shape, with a decent amount of muscle and low body fat.

High intensity, constantly varied workouts with functional movement patterns are the name of the game here and Crossfit's massive following is a testament to the look and feel it's followers achieve with every WOD they complete.

The WODs

The WODs listed here require nothing but your bodyweight and a pull-up bar (or tree limb, swing set, etc.) in some cases. They're meant to be performed as quickly as possible.
