Review: Monkii Bars Are a Gym You Can Take Anywhere

This travel workout tool takes bodyweight training to the next level and is small enough to pack in your carry-on.

The struggle of trying to maintain a fitness routine while away from home is well known to most frequent travelers.

Many travelers neglect their health by avoiding working out on the road due to not having access to a gym, having too little time, or not having a plan for what to do.

But we have found the perfect travel fitness tool.

It's light, portable, easy-to-use, and unlike many other products, it's actually effective. It will give you a workout that will improve your strength, stability, and conditioning.

Let us introduce you to Monkii.

Monkii Bars 2

Bodyweight training is great. In fact, it's one of the most effective forms of fitness for anyone trying to achieve that ideal body composition. But basic bodyweight training can get boring. And there are times where it will feel like no amount of push-ups and air squats will make a difference.

To keep progressing, you may have to try new things. Incorporating fitness gear into travel workouts can be tricky but Monkii Bars 2 are the perfect tool that can go just about anywhere and still give you a killer workout.

They're strong but light. You can use them anywhere and they work.

Our Thoughts

This is exactly the type of travel-friendly, functional fitness tool I've been looking for. I love bodyweight training but have always found there to be some limitation in how much variety I could incorporate into my regimen. Monkii Bars 2 solve that problem for me and I suspect that to be the same for many other frequent travelers.

Setup is easy. It's small and light enough to fit in a carry-on and not take up too much space. The workouts you get using Monkii Bars are highly effective.

You can also download the Monkii app on your phone. The app comes with curated workouts for your Monkii Bars and workout videos, including hotel workouts, park workouts, and a "workout in the wild."

Price

Adventure Kit: $195

Tactical Kit: $215 (made of a more durable material)

I went with the adventure kit and after a few weeks of using them almost daily, have zero concern about their durability. If you want to spend the extra $20, go for it, but you won't be disappointed in the Adventure Kit.

Bottom Line

I love my Monkii Bars. They're an incredible travel fitness tool and are perfect for anyone who wants to maintain an effective fitness routine while traveling. They won't take up a lot of space in your bag, they're easy to set up and take apart, and they're a ton of fun to use.

For me, the most important factor is that they actually give you a good workout. There are plenty of fitness items on the market that are travel-friendly but many of them are no more effective at helping you get fitter than anything you can do with just your body. Monkii Bars rise above the standard and are worth every dollar.

Ditch the junk. Workout anywhere. Be wild.
